Fort Knox High School was constructed for the Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS). The building consists of a two-story steel frame super structure combined with light-gage steel framing, reinforced concrete slab-on-grade, suspended hollow-core slabs, and shallow foundations consisting of both column spread footings, continuous wall footings, and shear walls. CEI provided special inspections for this project and worked with the Structural Engineer of Record (SER) resolving concerns and site related issues, resulting in a quality, final product. In addition, CEI prepared monthly reports for the contractor and all associated parties and submitted a final report to the state of KY documenting compliance.
