Louisville MSD Main Equipment Building Drain Repairs
PROJECT OWNER: Louisville and Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District
LOCATION: LOUISVILLE, KY
BUDGET: $ 25,000
COMPLETION: 2021
The Main Equipment Building at Louisville MSD’s Morris Forman Water Quality Treatment Center had excessively cracked concrete conditions at two floor drains on the 5th floor.
A potential dislodging of broken concrete from overhead was posing a safety hazard for the operators working on the floor below. Cornerstone was hired to rectify this condition on a short notice.
Cornerstone immediately mobilized to the site and removed all loose, cracked, and unsound concrete. Repair design is in progress to further address the drain conditions. By removing this concrete in a timely manner, a potential accident of falling concrete was thwarted.
