Rutherford Elementary School New Media Center and Elevator Addition

The Rutherford Elementary School project consisted of two additions to the existing school. The larger addition was an over 4000 sq. ft. media room, which consisted of cast-in-place concrete foundation, steel moment frames with CMU infill, and hollow core planks for the roof framing. The second piece to the addition was a two-story elevator shaft at the end of one of the hallways. The shaft was constructed of reinforced CMU walls and hollow core planks for the roof framing. Cornerstone Engineering provided structural design and construction administration services on this project.
