The Minor Lane Boost Pump Station is a 5,000 square foot facility built primarily to boost water pressure in the Okolona area of Louisville, KY. CEI was responsible for the structural design of all components making up the building. CEI provided architectural design services for this facility as well. Due to poor existing soil conditions, the foundation system for the building is primary composed of reinforced concrete piles and grade beams, while the finished floor is a structural slab-on -grade. The superstructure is made up of reinforced CMU walls, steel trusses and bar joists, and steel roof decking. Additionally, during construction phase, CEI provided project management services as well as continuous structural and architectural inspections.
