Cornerstone Supports Water for People AWWA Silent Auction

Cornerstone is pleased to show support to this year’s Water for People silent auction at the annual Water Professional Conference. The conference, part of the Kentucky/Tennessee section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), is the largest of its kind in both states. It offers networking, technical sessions, informative activities, facility tours, and a silent auction that raises money to bring clean, sustainable water to people who need it most. This year, Cornerstone was so happy to donate tickets to the University of Kentucky vs. University of Louisville football game!

Water For People helps to provide locally sustained water resources, water sanitation facilities, and programs to developing countries. They are currently established in nine countries, but have worked in more than 40 countries worldwide. The heartbreaking reality is that over 6,000 people, a large portion being children, die every day due to water-related illnesses. This is due to the sobering fact that over 2.6 billion people are without sufficient sanitation. Each donation to Water For People helps chip away at these numbers on a local, national, and global level.
